Abstract: Hydrogels of chitosan were synthesised using epichlorohydrin as the cross-linking agent in water solution. These hydrogels could recognise and adsorbed organosulphur. The effects, such as binding capacities, selective recognition of MIP and the factors on polymerization, were discussed. The results showed that,by epichlorohydrin as cross-linking,the molecularly imprinted polymer have highly binding capacities and selective recognition to the DBT. Maximum binding capacities of MIP measure 17.53 mg/g.
Template and target information: dibenzothiophene, DBT
Author keywords: molecularly imprinted polymer, Solid-phase extraction, desulphurisation
