Abstract: OBJECTIVE To synthesize a molecular imprinting polymer selective for Cefathiamidine. METHODS Different monomers and porogens were investigated and the binding characteristics of the template polymer were evaluated.RESULTS The polymer taking 4-vinylpyridine (4-VP) as an interacting monomer and toluene as a porogen exhibits high affinity to the substrate, Cefathiamidine. CONCLUSION Molecularly imprinted polymer can be used in solid phase extraction and represent clinical utility for enrichment and determination of trace Cefathiamidine.
Template and target information: cefathiamidine
