Abstract: A barbital imprinted monolithic polymer was directly prepared in a capillary column by in-situ polymerization. The preparation procedure was simple. The recognition of the molecularly imprinted monolithic column was evaluated by comparing the retention values of barbital and its analogues.1he results showed that barbital was more strongly retained than its analogues in the imprinted polymer monolithic column, and the blank column with the same function monomer presented no such ability.Accordingly, the mechanism of this molecular recognition process was proposed.
