Abstract: The adsorption properties of copper(II) imprinted and non-imprinted resins for metal ions were studied. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of the imprinted resin was larger than that of non-imprinted resin for copper(II), zinc(II) and nickel(II) ions. The adsorption velocities of two resins for copper(II) ion were fast and the apparent velocity constants were 0.044 s-1 and 0.040 s-1 respectively. The adsorption process accorded with the Langmuir and Freundlish equation. The dynamic adsorption of imprinted resin for copper(II) ion related to the original concentration of copper(II) ion. Copper(II) ion on the resin could be desorbed quickly by 0.5mol/L HCl and the resin also had great ability of regeneration, therefore it could be used repeatedly.
