Abstract: In-situ molecularly-imprinted polymer rods were prepared by using aminoantipyrine (I) as template for use as stationary phases in LC. The recognition ability of such polymer rods was evaluated by comparing the retention values of I and its analogues, with observation of stronger retention of I on the column. The mechanism of recognition process and effects of functional groups on the separation are also discussed. (Analytical Abstracts 2003)
Template and target information: aminoantipyrine
