Abstract: A review of molecular imprinted polymers(MIP) as a kind of separation media, especially in analysis of chiral compounds is presented. The principle of molecule imprinting and the four methods for preparation of MIP were summarized in detail. The mechanism of molecular recognition was discussed. The applications, advantages and limitations of MIP were also surveyed.
