Abstract: The molecularly imprinted polymer with alkaloid quinine as template was prepared by molecular imprinting technique using α-methacrylic acid as the functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the crosslinker. The absorption property and selective recognition ability of the new polymer were studied by fluorescent method. The result showed that the polymer had higher absorption and higher selective recognition ability compared to the blank polymer which had the same chemical composition. The dissociation constant of the imprinted polymer to the template quinine was estimated to be 1.08×10-3 mol/L.And the apparent maximum number of binding sites of the imprinted polymer was to be 131.8 μmol/g which therefore correspond to 56.4%of the theoretical total binding sites derived from the amount of the template used for the polymerization. It indicated that this was a new way for the selective enrichment and determination of trace quinine in biosamples.
