Abstract: The pollution of heavy metal ions in drinking water is a main problem in feedwater treatment. Microspheric Fe(III) imprinted polymer was synthesized using oleic acid as functional monomer and divinyl-benzene as cross-linker by the inverse micro-emulsion polymerization approach. And fourier transform-infrared spectra (FT-IR), the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and an autosorb instrument were employed to characterize it structure. Furthermore, the adsorptive capacity of microspheric Fe(III) imprinted polymers was tested in drining water. The test results showed that the microspheric Fe(III) imprinted polymers had good adsorptive capacities for Fe (III)
