Abstract: 3-Aminophenylboronic acid was used as functional monomer, molecularly imprinted polymer of bovine serum albumin was fabricated on chitosan particles. The Langmuir adsorption model was undertaken to describe the equilibrium isotherms. Analysis of the model shows that many recognition sites of BSA were formed on the MIP with higher adsorption capacity and higher selectivity respect to the other two candidates. Langmuir adsorption equilibrium constant was 49.5 mL/mg and the theoretical maximum adsorption capacity was 16.3 mg/g. The imprinted polymers showed a better selectivity and capacity of the template than one of other competitive proteins. Therefore, this strategy and the functional monomer are promising in molecularly imprinting technology for separating and purifying each protein component in complex bio-samples
