Abstract: Under the condition of weak acidity, a sensitive film was prepared through the electropolymerization of o-aminophenol on a glassy carbon electrode surface in the presence of mitoxantrone which was considered as the template. A mitoxantrone sensor based on molecular imprinting was obtained. The sensor exhibits a good selectivity and sensitivity to mitoxantrone. The determination limit of the mitoxantrone was 1.6 X 10(-7) mol/L, and a linear relationship between the peak current and the mitoxantrone concentration was found in the range from 3.3 x 10(-7) to 1.0 x 10(-5) mol/L and from 1.0 x 10(-5) to 5.0 x 10(-5) mol/L. Also, the configuration and characteristics of the film were investigated in detail
