Abstract: In this thesis, a highly selective imprinted polymer was synthesized by the bulk polymerization method, using estrone as template and acrylamide as functional monomers. The imprinted polymer was evaluated by the kinetic and selective adsorption experiments. The results showed that the imprinted functional sorbent exhibited good recognition and selective ability, offered a faster kinetics for the adsorption of estrone than the non-imprinted sorbent. Results also indicated that polymerizing conditions had important effect on the selectivity of the imprinted polymer, and the 1:3:6 ratio of template to functional monomer and cross-linker was suitable for preparation an imprinted polymer having high adsorption capacity and selective ability
