Abstract: Recently, the study on functional polymer materials with urea groups as donor/accepter of hydrogen bonding has received attention. In this paper, we reported the synthesis and the selective bonding behavior of the moleculaly imprinted polymer appended urea moieties in the binding sites. In order to evaluate the molecular recognition, the binding abilities of various polymer were examined. 1st adsorption investigations suggested that the orientation of urea groups in the polymer is important for specific interaction with target molecules.
