Abstract: A novel core-shell imprinted polymer based on the surface-modified silica gel was prepared with solgel method successfully by using benzoyl peroxide as template molecule. The morphology and performance of the imprinted polymers were characterized by IR, SEM and thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that the polymers were evenly distributed, good thermal stability, 300 nm of average diameter and the shell thickness is about 50 nm. The adsorption performance was investigated by HPLC, and the results turned out that the imprinted polymers exhibit specific sorption to benzoyl peroxide with selectivity coefficient 6.59; and the average recovery rate 94.98% was obtained by using solid-phase extraction experiments. The imprinted polymer was applied to separate and enrich benzoyl peroxide from flour successfully
