Abstract: Molecular imprinting technique (MIT) is an emerging interdisciplinary methodology that is developing in recent years by utilizing the advantages of macromolecular synthesis, molecular design, molecular recognition and bio-mimic bioengineering. Molecular imprinted polymers ( MIPs) exhibit both advantages of highly stero- and enantio-selective recognition and strong resistance against corrosion. Therefore, MEN are used extensively in biotechnology, clinical medicine, environmental monitoring, food industries and so on. This article gives an overview of saw recent development in the field and offers an insight into how the area is likely to evolve in the near future. 138 references are cited
