Abstract: The molecularly imprinted polymer for crystal violet was prepared utilizing crystal violet as the template molecule, acrylic acid as the functional monomers, and EGDMA as the cross-linker agent. The effects of solvent, functional monomers and cross-linker agent were investigated. The optimal mole ratio of crystal violet, acrylic acid and EGDMA for polymerization was 1:4:40. The adsorption properties of polymer were investigated with static adsorption equilibrium experiments and scatchard analysis. The results showed that there were two kinds of sites in the polymer whose dissociation constants were 56.2 μmol/L and 7.52 μmol/L respectively
