Abstract: Reason: This article has been retracted at the request of the editor as the authors have plagiarised part of several papers that had already appeared in several journals. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. Re-use of any data should be appropriately cited. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and we apologise to the readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process. From a limited, non-exhaustive check of the text, we noted that several elements of the text had been plagiarised from the following list of sources: Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Volume 54, Issue 1, 17 January 2002, Pages 149-161, Molecular imprinting within hydrogels J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2006, 128 (50), pp 15954-15955, Template synthesized molecularly imprinted polymer nanotube membranes for chemical separations Mimicking the reactions of natural enzymes: organic molecularly imprinted polymers as mimics of hydrolytic enzymes [http://chemistry.illinois.edu/research/organic/seminar_extracts/2002_2003/Ong.pdf] Analytica Chimica Acta, Volume 545, Issue 2, 27 July 2005, Pages 122-128, Construction of a novel molecularly imprinted sensor for the determination of O,O-dimethyl-(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetoxyl)(3'-nitrophenyl)methinephosphonate Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Volume 21, Issue 12, 15 June 2006, Pages 2329-2338, Supported imprinted nanospheres for the selective recognition of cholesterol
