Abstract: In recent years, molecularly imprinted materials (MIMs) based on polysaccharides have attracted great attention due to their abundant raw materials, good biodegradability and biocompatibility In this paper, the preparation methods of MIMs based on natural polysaccharides such as cyclodextrin, chitosan, cellulose, alginic acid, agarose and starch are reviewed, including direct crosslinking, graft-copolymerization crosslinking and sol-gel technique Their applications in separation, solid phase extraction, biosensing, drug delivery and protein refolding are discussed In addition, the development trend of polysaccharide-based MIMs is prospected
