Abstract: Molecular imprinting polymer of L-phenylalanine ethyl ester (L-PHOET) was synthesized and used for chiral resolution of enantiomers of PHOET as a chromatographic stationary phase. Acetic acid was added into the mobile phase of acetonitrile to improve the resolution due to changing its polarity, however excessive acetic acid could reduce the resolution factor, even destroy the column. The lower concentration of detected sample could obtain better resolution. The resolution factor α increased with the raise of temperature of the column. The α was 1.82 when the temperature of the column was at 65°C. The microstructure of the molecular imprinting polymer was observed by TEM. (Analytical Abstracts 2003)
