Abstract: Polymers imprinted with quinine were prepared by bulk polymerization (light initiation and thermal initiation). The polymers were characterized with infrared spectrometry and thermal gravity analysis, and morphology was analyzed with scanning electron microscopy. The selectivity of the polymers was tested using a series of structurally related compounds such as quinine. The selective binding characteristics of the template polymer by bulk polymerization was evaluated with Scatchard analysis. The change of binding amounts with time was also investigated.
