Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were synthesized using L- carnitine as the template, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker, methacrylic acid (MAA) and acrylicamine (AA) as the functional monomer respectively. The prepared polymers were applied as the liquid chromatographic chiral stationary phase to test their resolution ability for racemic carnitine hydrochloride. The results showed that racemic carnitine hydrochloride could be efficiently resolved on the MAA MIPs with a separation factor of 1.89
Template and target information: L-carnitine
