Abstract: The effects of five solvents on the preparation of MIPs were investigated. In different solvents, the optimal ratios of template, functional monomer and cross-linking monomer are all 1:5:20,but the temperatures are different. The static adsorption and recognition abilities of the MIPs were characterized, and the results indicated that the strong polarity solvents were better to polymerization than weak polarity solvents, and dimethylsulfoxide is the best to preparation of polymers, the precent of separation to vanillin on the MIP attained in dimethylsulfoxide was up to 91%.
Template and target information: vanillin
Author keywords: molecular imprinting polymer(MIP), solvents, adsorption isotherms, adsorption, selectivity
