Abstract: Molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) was prepared by precipitated polymerization in chloroform with a-methacrylic acid as the functional monomer, ethylene glycol methyl acrylate as the cross-linkers,azobisisobutyronitrile as the initiator,Sudan I as the template molecule. The results of equilibrium binding experiment indicated that, when the molar ratio of Sudan I : functional monomer : crossing-linker was 1:4:16,the polymer attained the maximum adsorption of Sudan I,the amount of solvent and initiator used in preparation had great influence on binding performance. The equilibrium adsorption amounts of MIP and NIP adsorbing Sudan I were 49.17 μmol·g-1 and 22.6 μmol·g-1,respectively. The amounts of Sudan I and Sudan III adsorbed by MIP in selective binding experiments were 26.8 μmol·g-1 and 5.26 μmol·g-1,respectively.It indicated that the MIP possessed the specific adsorption of Sudan I. Scatchard analysis showed that two classes of binding sites were formed in the molecularly imprinted polymer.
