Abstract: A kind of thermo-sensitive imprinting hydrogels was prepared throught the radical template polymerzation of N-isopropylacrylamide and methylacrylate in NMP with glycyrrhizic acid as the impriniting molecules,in which NIPA was the thermo-sensitive monomer, adsorbing glycyrrhizic acid together with the co-monomer MA,and a large quantity of cros -linking agent was used. The thermo-shrink kinetics of the gels were characterized and the interaction between the glycyrrhizic acid molecules and the monomer molecules was conformed through IR spectra, which could be a semi-identification for the imprinting effect. At the mean time, the separation effect of the gels on glycyrrhizic acid was compared with that of the same kind of gels polymerized without template. It was found that the former could enrich glycyrrhizic acids in the aqua solution and showed a special selective separation property, the distribution ratio being about ll times of that of the latter.
