Abstract: Objective:To establish a potentiometric method with high sensitivity to determine tetracycline in various samples.Method:A PVC membrane tetracycline selective electrode with high sensitivity was prepared with the ion-pair of tetracycline-phosphotungstic acid as the electroactive substance,based on molecularly imprinted monolithic column.And then the performance of the electrode was evaluated.Results:The electrode showed a linear Nernst response in the range of 1×10-8-1×10-3 mol· L-1 in a buffer solution of pH 2-4 with a slope of 58.3 mV/pC.The low limit of detection was about 6×10-9 mol· L-1,and the accuracy and precision were good.Conclusion:The proposed electrode is sensitive,selective,accurate and reliable,and thus then can be used for the determination of tetracycline in tablets,human serum and aquatic products,etc.
