Abstract: Objective:To establish a new method for determination of zidovudine(AZT).Methods:Using methacrylic acid as functional monomer,and trimethlolpropane trimethacrylate as crosslinking agent,molecularly imprinted polymers(MIP) specific for anti - HIV drug zidovudine were synthesised and packed into the SPE cartriges.Functional monomer,the maximum binding capacity and the best loading conditions were optimised by breakthrough experiment. Result:When the sample loaded at the concentration of 4.5 mmol·L~(-1) NaH_2PO_4/NaOH buffer(pH 7.0),the maximum adsorption capacity was up to 59.7 mg·g~(-1) of polymers.The eluting condition was also optimized, zidovudine and its analog(lamivudine) were separated successfully by the MIP -SPE method.It was found that the proposed method can be used for the determination of AZT and 3TC in the mixture with good recoveries of 101.6%- 102.6%and 103.4%- 104.0%,RSDs are 1.6%-4.2%and 1.4%-3.3%.Conclution:The method is rapid and direct for separation and enrichment of drug.
