Abstract: A molecularly imprinted film modified screen printed electrode(SPE) was prepared by cyclic voltammetry with electro-polymerization of o-phenylenediamine in the presence of diazepam which was removed later. The electrochemical characteristics of the imprinted and non-imprinted films were evaluated by differential pulse voltammogram.Potassium iodide was used as the probe between the modified electrode and the base solution, and a method for determination of diazepam was established. The molecularly imprinted film modified SPE showed the advantages of easy fabrication and replacement. The experimental results showed that the optimum incubation was 3 min,and a good linear relationship was obtained between peak current and concentration of diazepam in the range of 2.0×10-7-1.0×10-5 mol/L with a detection limit of 2.5×10-8 mol/L.The spiked recoveries of diazepam from meat sample ranged from 92% to 95%.The electrochemical sensor was successfully applied in the detection of diazepam in several samples.
