Abstract: In order to study on the influence of the presence of metal ions on the adsorption properties of the molecular imprinted polymer(MIP) of quercetin,a series of molecular imprinted polymers were prepared in methanol using quercetin or the complex of quercetin with Cu(II) and Co(II) as template molecule, acrylamide(AM) as functional monomer, respectively. The adsorption properties of these polymers were studied by equilibrium adsorption experiment. The results indicated that both the adsorption capacity(Q) and imprinting effect(QMTP/QNMTP) were improved remarkably after Cu(II) and Co(II) especially Co(II) was added in the polymerization system. Moreover, the adsorption capacity could be increased from 35.99 mg/g to 69.10 mg/g together with the imprinting effect increased form 1.68 to 1.94 if the metal ion was added in the adsorption solution at the same time.
