Abstract: An ion imprinted polymer (IIP) was prepared by molecular imprinting technology (MIT). The selectivity and adsorption capacity for Pb (II) ions of Pb (II)-IIP were studied. The IIP was prepared by bulk polymerization using lead (II) ion as a template, salicylaldoxime as a functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as a crosslinker. The results showed that, in comparison with non-imprinted polymer, the sorption equilibrium was achieved in 40 min and the maximum sorption of lead (II) imprinted polymer was about 949 μg/g by Pb2+ was 10 mg/L. The mechanism for the adsorption of Pb (II) on the imprinted polymers was investigated
