Abstract: Prednisolone has no suitable configuration for electroactivation in the potential window from -1.2 to +1.5 V. In this paper, a new catalytic application of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) was employed to achieve a suitable prednisolone conformation for electrochemical oxidation. Also, MIP as a recognition element improved the selectivity of the sensor for determination of prednisolone. In addition, to improve the sensitivity of the electrode multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were used in the preparation of MIP. Using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) under optimized conditions, the calibration curve showed a linear dynamic range (0.08 - 160.00 μM) with a detection limit of 0.05 μM (S/N=3). The modified electrode was successfully applied as prednisolone sensor in real samples such as plasma, urine and pharmaceutical formulation
