Abstract: The selectivity of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was substantially enhanced by inactivating the non-specific binding sites distributed within the polymer. Treatment of the polymer with varying amounts of methyl iodide in the presence of the template molecule resulted in stronger binding of the template and more effective separation from similar steroids
