Abstract: A novel emodin(EM) imprinting material based on carbon nanotubes modified with silica gel(MWNT-MIPs) was successfully synthesized by using methacrylic acid(MAA) as a functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA) as a crosslinker. The MWNT-MIPs were characterized by SEM and TEM.The results showed that a stable, uniform, about 40 nm thick imprinted materials layer was grafted on the surface of MWNT.At pH=8.5,the maximum adsorption with theoretical maximum adsorption capacity(Qmax) of 20.8 mg/g and good selective adsorption of emodin were obtained. As solid-phase extraction materials, under washing with 85% ethanol and eluting with the solution of 10% acetic acid in ethanol, the recovery of EM was over 85%,achieving efficient separation and enrichment of emodin from actinidia chinensis planch root.
