Abstract: Hollow molecular imprinted polymer (H-MIP) was prepared using dibenzothiophene as template molecule, 4-vinylpyridine as functional monomer and K2Ti4O9 as carrier by surface imprinting technique combined with removing carrier process. The polymer was characterized by means of nitrogen adsorption, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy. H-MIP was provided with larger surface areas and pore features. The adsorption process was spontaneous by thermodynamic analysis. The adsorption process followed pseudo-second-order model by kinetics analysis and Freundlich equation by isotherm analysis. The selectivity performance of H-MIP was favorable
