Abstract: Objective: To establish a method for determination of clenbuterol hydrochloride in Chuanxiling with molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction-high performance liquid chromatography. Methods: The analysis was carried on a Hypersil BDS C18 (250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 μm) column; The mobile phase was composed of 0.05 mol L-1 NaH2PO4 (containing 0.005 mol L-1 PIC-B6, adjust the pH to 4.0 with phosphoric acid) and methanol (60: 40); the detection wavelength was 245 nm and the flow rate was 1.0 mL min-1; column temperature was at room temperature. Results: The linear range was 0.4 - 40.0 μg mL-1 (r = 0.9998) for clenbuterol hydrochloride, the average recovery of clenbuterol hydrochloride was 97.8% (RSD = 0.9%, n = 9). Conclusion: This method is simple, rapid and accurate.
