Abstract: p-Phenylenediamine (p-PD)-molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) was prepared by non-covalent molecular imprinting technique using p-PD as the template molecule and methacrylic acid as the monomer. The molecular recognition and binding characteristics of the imprinted polymer were investigated via batch method.Scatchard analysis showed that two kinds of sites existed on the polymer matrix and their dissociation constants were estimated to be 2.57 x 10-4 mol/L and 3.71 x 10-3 mol/L,respectively.MIP exhibited much higher affinity for p-PD among the tested analogues, which indicated that the imprinted polymer could recognize p-PD.
