Abstract: Molecular imprinting is a promising technique for the preparation of synthetic polymers of predetermined specificity. Function monomers are copolymerized with crosslinkers in the desired molecule, the imprinted molecule. Molecular imprinted polymers have been applied in an increasing number of fields including Separation, antibody and ceptor binding mimics, catalysis and artificial enzymes, biosensor-like devices. Besides, some problems and future research topics of this technique are discussed.
