Abstract: Kaempferol molecularly imprinted polymer (KAE-MIP) was synthesized with kaempferol as template, 2-vinylpyridine as functional monomer and EDMA as cross-linker by molecular imprinting technique in methanol solution. Kaempferol imprinted polymer's binding affinity and selectivity to kaempferol were evaluated by equilibrium adsorption experiments and its adsorption kinetics were observed. KAE-MIP exhibited good adsorption affinity and selectivity toward KAE. Scatchard analysis revealed that two classes of binding sites were formed in KAE-MIP. Compared to the adsorption behaviors of KAE and its analogs, KAE-MIP displayed excellent molecular recognition. The selective adsorption of kaempferol on KAE-MIP could be accomplished with in 2 h.
