Abstract: Polymethylacrylic acid (PMAA) was grafted onto the surface of silica gel particles with the (mediation) of 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (MPS), and the grafting particles PMAA/SiO_2 were formed. Molecular imprinting was carried out against the grafted PMAA on the surface of silica gel using pirimicarb as a template and ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (EGDE) as crosslinking (agent,) and the surface-molecular imprinted material MIP-PMAA/SiO_2 was obtained. The binding property of MIP-PMAA/SiO_2 for pirimicarb was studied with both static and dynamic methods, and the effects of main imprinting conditions, such as pH value, ethanol content in the solvent and the amount of crosslinking agent, on the binding properties of MIP-PMAA/SiO_2 were examined. The experiment results show that MIP-PMAA/SiO_2 has excellent binding selectivity for pirimicarb. In respect to the reference substance propoxur, its (selectivity) coefficient for pirimicarb is enhanced from 1.52 before imprinting to 12.19. Besides, (MIP-PMAA/SiO_2) has fine elution property, and it is easy to be regenerated and reused.
