Abstract: Bisphenol A (BPA) imprinted polysulfone (PSF) membranes were prepared for the sieving, binding, and recognition of BPA. The recognition experiments indicated that the imprinted PSF membranes showed lower sieving coefficients for BPA due to the larger binding rates. The binding amounts were 4.52, 7.07, and 10.11 μmol/g for the imprinted membranes in 50, 100, 150 μmol/L BPA solutions, respectively, and the recognition coefficients were 2.36, 2.06, and 2.12, respectively. It was also found the operation pressure had an effect on the binding and recognition of BPA. It was claimed that molecular imprinted polysulfone membranes could be used for the removal of an environmental hormone
