Abstract: Coupled to HPLC-UV, a novel method for the determination of guanosine in chinese traditional patent medicine was constructed with molecularly imprinted monolith used as media of solid phase microextraction. Under the selected conditions, the linear range of determination was from 0.01 μmol/L to 5.30 μmol/L, the limit of detection (LOD) was 2.5 nmol/L (S/N=3) and limit of quantitation was 9.0 nmol/L (S/N=10). Recoveries for spiked standards were between 94% and 104% with averages of 99% ± 5%. This new method was successfully applied in the analysis of several kinds of Chinese traditional patent medicine.
