Abstract: Molecular imprinting, an emerging technique for preparing synthetic polymers with molecular recognition, is developing rapidly in these years. The molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with tailor made recognition sites are very potential for selective separation and determination of trace analysis for drugs or pesticides. MIPs and their application to trace analysis, including recognition principles, preparation, current applications, problems and their future are discussed in this review, with 86 references.
