Abstract: Magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer microspheres(MMIPMs) were prepared by suspension polymerization, using trimethylolpropane triacrylate(TRIM), methacrylic acid(MAA) and surface modified Fe_3O_4 as crosslinker, functional monomer and magnetic component, respectively. It is found that modified Fe_3O_4 dispersed very well in the prepared magnetic molecularly (imprinted) polymer microspheres. The molecular recognition properties of the MMIPMs for aniline and dimethylaniline in toluene and aqueous ethanol solution were investigated. Results show that the molecular recognition of the MMIPMs in toluene is better than that in aqueous ethanol solution.
Template and target information: aniline, dimethylaniline
Author keywords: molecular imprinting, suspension polymerization, magnetic molecularly imprinted (polymer) microspheres (MMIPMs), molecular recognition, poly(trimethylolpropane triacrylate) ((PTRIM))
