Abstract: The paper presents a review of literature data on the occurrence of endocrine disruption compounds in the effluents from wastewaters treatment plants, surface, underground and drinking waters and sediments. General data concerning their action on the living organisms (mainly fish) are given. The peculiarities of the methods for removal/degradation of the pollutants via adsorption, ozonation, biodegradation, photolysis and photocatalysis are considered.
