Abstract: The feasibility of a piezoelectric quartz Cuprum (II) sensor based on a molecularly imprinted σ-PD is described. The Cuprum (II) sensor was devised by depositing the polymer onto one side of an Pt-cut quartz crystal through an electro-polymerization process. The author screened the factors which affect the electrochemical polymerization reaction, such as the concentration of template molecule and the concentration of monomer. The sensor showed high selectivity and sensitivity in aqueous system. The sensor response exhibited a linear relationship between frequency shift and the Cuprum (II) concentration in the range of 10-5~10-4 mol/L and the detection limit was 10-6 mol/L
