Abstract: Molecular imprinting technique is a recently developed technique for experimental preparation. The application of imprinted polymers as solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fillers is a most practically promising research direction. This paper offered a review of the basic principles and methods of the molecular imprinting technique and the SPME technique with the emphasis on the application of molecularly imprinted SPME in environmental monitoring and analysis, drug analysis and separation, biology and clinical medicines, and also provided a prospect of the achievements and innate problems of molecularly imprinted SPME
