Publication date: 1998
Publication number: US5,780,578
Abstract: The invention provides a polymer composed of vinyl monomers bearing imidazole, hydroxyl and carboxyl groups arranged in proximity to each other, that exhibits hydrolytic activity similar to serine proteases, and a process for its preparation. The polymer is useful for the hydrolysis of esters and amides to the corresponding alcohols and amines.
