Patent Title: New polymer capable of molecular recognition and its preparation method
Publication date: 2004
Publication number: JP2004_224828
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer capable of molecular recognition which selectively binds to a target molecule, has a photosensitivity inducing its physical/chemical modification when exposed to light and enables its adsorption to and desorption from the target molecule to be controlled by light, and a method for preparing the polymer through molecular imprinting.
SOLUTION: The polymer has a functional group which specifically and reversibly binds to the target molecule and a photosensitive moiety which isomerizes when exposed to light. The method for preparing the polymer comprises, e.g. a step wherein an unsaturated monomer having the functional group which specifically forms a reversible bond with the target molecule and the photosensitive moiety is prepared, a step wherein the unsaturated monomer is bound to the target molecule via the reversible bond, a step wherein the unsaturated monomer bound to the target molecule is copolymerized with a crosslinking agent and a step wherein the target molecule is detached from the obtained polymer.
