Abstract: The present invention provides a core-shell nanostructure comprising: a hydrophobic polymeric core; and a hydrophobic polymeric shell on the core, wherein the shell comprises at least one binding site for binding at least one target agent. In particular, the nanostructure has a red-blood cell morphology. The present invention also provides a method for preparing the nanostructure and uses of the nanostructure.
