Abstract: Molecular imprinting is a novel technique for efficient separation and molecular recognition. Owing to its simple preparation, specific recognition to the template molecule and good chemical and physical stability, it has been widely used in drug residue analysis in recent yeas. This paper focuses on recent applications of molecular imprinting technique in solid phase extraction, chromatographic separation, membrane separation and sensor. Furthermore, the shortcomings and improvement directions are discussed. We expect that this paper could provide references for better applications of molecular imprinting in drug residue analysis.
